Longquan celadon not only have been loved widely by the domestic andinternational ceramic lovers, but also imitated by the kiln workers from different places.Among all of the imitated celadon, the most representative products appeared in Mingand Qing dynasties. Therefore, in this paper, with the study of the samples of the imitatedLongquan celadon in Jingdezhen and the celadon of Northern Song Dynasty, SouthernSong Dyansty,Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty from Da Kiln in Longquan, and with thehelp of multidisciplinary research methods and thinking, relevant literatures and a varietyof testing techniques, comprehensively analyze and study the chemical composition ofthe body and glaze of Longquan celadon and imitated Longquan celadon in Jingdezhen, chromaticity, microstructures and physical properties, etc.Through the comparative studyof the two celadon, initially explore and verify the similarities and differences of theircomposition and process characteristics. Provide a scientific basis for the development ofthe evolution, technology exchange, and influence and origin discrimination of the SouthChina celadon. And lay the foundation for learning more about firing process of imitatedLongquan celadon in Jingdezhen.Chapter I and Chapter II: Summarize the development of the south China celadon, especially the historical status, cultural background, development process and relativetechnology conditions of the Longquan celadon and imitated Longquan celadon inJingdezhen, as well as the research status both at home and abroad, the background, purpose, and the meaning of the topic.Chapter III: Analyze the glaze information of Longquan celadon and imitatedLongquan celadon in Jingdezhen by the use of energy dispersive X-ray fluorescenceanalyzer (EDXRF) test, and comparatively analyze the chemical composition of the twokinds of celadon. Summarize the similarities and differences of the glaze formulabetween the two celadon, discusses the influence of the formula of raw materials on theproducts.Chapter IV: Analyze the microstructures of Longquan celadon and imitatedLongquan celadon in Jingdezhen by the use of optical microscopy and scanning electronmicroscopy test, comparatively study the relevant characteristics of the two kinds ofceladon, and sum up the differences of the celadon preparation processes and theirimpact on product performance.Chapter V: Analyze the glaze chromaticity, the firing temperature, water absorption, and comparative physical properties of the two celadon by the use of colorimeter (NF-333) and thermal dilatometer. Summarize the differences of the physical propertiesof the celadon from the both areas.Chapter VI: Conclusion. A brief summary of the main results in this paper.
