Time reversal of electromagnetic wave is an environment adaptive focusingtechnology based on electromagnetic reciprocity principle. Its unique space-timefocusing feature can be used to solve the multipath interference and electromagneticcoexistence problems in wireless communication, as well as the target detection/imaging problems.In recent years, the application of time reversal technique in electromagnetics hasdeveloped gradually towards engineering. In order to do deep research on theapplication of time reversal technique in electromagnetics, an experimental platform isindispensable. This thesis describes how to design and implement the software systemof such experimental platform. After reviewing some commonly-used circuit simulationsoftware and virtual instrument software, the new experimental software system namedTR_EMW(Time Reversal Electromagnetic Wave) is designed based on object-orientedtechnology as well as modular method, which transforms TR_UWB(Time ReversalUltra-Wide Band)experimental software system into an interface friendly and versatileexperimental software system. Then some experiments have been taken to illustrate theaccuracy, reliability and ease of versatility of the new software system.Chapter1introduces the history of time reversal technique, and its application inelectromagnetic. Then the recent research progress in experimental platform for timereversal of electromagnetic wave is presented. Finally the goal and innovation of thisthesis is introduced.Chapter2describes the time reversal electromagnetic wave experimental platformused by our research group. After briefly introducing its hardware and softwarecomponents, the basic principles that the time reversal detection and communicationexperiment involved have been reviewed.Chapter3fully shows the design architecture of TR_EMW experimental softwaresystem. The first part of the chapter introduces the basic architecture of TR_UWBsoftware system and its defects, which is the design base of TR_EMW. Then the designblueprint of TR_EMW software system are expounded systematically, that includes the modular design, the user-machine interface design, the overall architecture, eachmodule’s design, the principle of drawing schematic and optimization for instrumentcontrol, supplemented by a large number of pictures. The developmental technique inimplementation process of TR_EMW software system is summarized at last part of thechapter.Chapter4illustrates the accuracy and superiority of TR_EMW software systemcompared with TR_UWB through wireless communication experiments and detectionexperiments.Chapter5concludes all and describe about the prospect of the new software system.
