Through the ages, lightning disaster bring serious casualties and economic loss tohuman. The global annual, thousands of people die of lightning. And the number ofgetting hurt may be5~10times of the death toll. With large frequency, high voltage,strong electromagnetic radiation characteristics, the threat of lightning on human societyis on the increase. Lightning disaster has been defined as "the most serious10kinds ofnatural disasters" by the relevant departments of the United Nations. It is also part of theatmospheric disaster science. According to the principle of natural disaster system,lightning disaster is the interacting formation between the disaster environment, thedisaster factor and the disaster-affected body. The main purpose of this research is tofind out the relationship of lightning disaster factors with the lightning properties.Thunderstorm, climatic and geographic background are the natural disasterenvironment of lightning disaster. Lightning is the natural disaster factor. And thedisaster-affected body is general divided into human, property and natural resources.These three factors to the disaster formation action would be changed in different timeand space condition. On the nature disaster factor, through observing it is discoveredthat lightning will average happen46times per second. And there would be77timesper minute in our country. On the disaster-affected body, the casualty-figures for thelightning disaster is gradual decline in long term statistics. It is becausecity-development speeding up, the population migration from rural areas to the cities,and lightning protection technology and medical emergency is progressing. On the otherhand, the trend of property loss is increasing in recent years.In order to reveal the time and space distribution rule and formation mechanism oflightning disaster better, it is necessary to analysis in the case of lightning disaster overa period of time. The lightning location system and weather radar would be used. In theactual research, when the database about the lightning location and lightning disasterhave be established, it is easy to find out the features including lightning disaster,lightning property and the relationship between them. And then the causes of lightningdisaster would be further revealed. This thesis is going to analysis and research on thelightning disaster of Guangdong Province, building the database of lightning location system and lightning disaster system, focusing on the analysis of the lightning disasterinducing the factors, characteristics and situation of disaster. Then it can find out thecharacteristics for the personnel casualties and property loss event. And then searchrelated factors of lightning disaster and lightning characteristics with different methodssuch as graphical comparison, linear-regression method and case analysis. Studies showthat there is relevance between lightning disaster and time, space, geographicalenvironment, climate characteristics, radar parameters, ect. It is full of guidingsignificance to avoid the lightning disaster.
