| The paper combines the Qingdao station sea fog data international Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set (ICODAS) observational data with Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) climatological precipitation, Japanese25-years Reanalysis (JRA-25) daily database,Climate Forecast System Reanalysis (CFSR) daily database to probe into the correlation between the Yellow sea fog and Meiyu rainband(15th June to14th July)at the interannual scale. Further study displaies impact factors of North-south spatial pattern of Yellow sea fog and Meiyu. We get reliable frequency distribution of Yellow sea fog by using cloud mixing ratio (CMR) of CFSR daily database, which can estimate the existence of sea fog.The Yellow sea fog and Meiyu both occur climatological34pentads to39pentads, great value area of sea fog locates in north Yellow Sea, and Meiyu rainband locates on the other side of Yellow Sea and the East China Sea.From the EOF analysis of sea fog frequency, the first mode displaies a Yellow Sea basin mode and intense interannual variability, the centre locates in the northwest. The general atmospheric circulation, water vapor condition and meteorological factors within boundary layer are all have great impact on the formation of seafog.Correlation index between first mode of SVD analysis of precipitation, geopotential height fields and first mode of EOF analysis of sea fog frequency results in-0.47, that may be caused by the Philippines Anticyclone,which following the warming sea surface temperature of east Pacific. Strong precipatition may interaction with wind result into the divergence in Yellow sea. And the sea fog happens less.And correlation index between second mode of SVD analysis of precipitation, geopotential height fields and first mode of EOF analysis of sea fog frequency results in0.5, which presents the opposite sign from the first mode, may be duing to the anomalous anticyclone in NW Pacific with westward warming SST in tropical Pacific. Strong precipatition may interaction with wind result into the convergence in Yellow sea. And the sea fog happens more. |
