Since the overlying loess on the Heifangtai loess plateau was irrigated by water from theYellow River, long-term flood irrigation resulted in change of original hydrogeologicalconditions and loess landslides occurred frequently, causing enormous loss to lives andproperty.Based on field investigation、numerical simulation、geotechnical centrifugal modeltest and so on, the deformation mechanism of the irrigation model loess slope on theHeifangtai are analyzed. The main results of research as follows:1、The irrigation model loess landslides on the Heifangtai distribute in river and valleywhere erosion strongly in loess plateau region zones. The formation factor including:Neotectonics, river lateral erosion, structure and geotechnical Characteristics of high sheerslope. The mainly inducing factors including: rainfall, irrigation, earthquake andfreezing-thawing. The most important influent factor is the function of irrigation.2、By using the professional geotechnical software "GEO—SEEP" and "GEO—SLOPE",the seepage and the limit equilibrium method is analyzed, some relationships aredrawn among the safety coefficient, the location of sliding surface, the strength of soil, andthe groundwater table,etc.3、Flac3d is used for numerical simulation of the stability of Jiao Jiayatou landslidethrough which the stability factor、shear strain increment diagram、X-displacement contoursdiagram、Y-displacement contours diagram、X-displacement and Y-displacement with stepsgraphs of every monitoring points are obtained, so characteristics of stress-strain anddevelopment of the landslide can be analyzed.4、The basal theories of centrifuge model test and some potential problems in it areintroduced. Final results concluded from centrifuge model test of different water level patternsare reasoned. The picture of isoline and vectorgraph、pore water pressure and water contentof every monitoring points are pointed out. Test results show that the field investigation andnumerical simulation results.
