Today in our country most of oilfields using water injection have stepped intohigh-aquifer stage with highly scattered remaining oil beds and difficult exploitation. Dueto complicated geology, various oil properties, high heterogeneity and other complexgeological factors, it is difficult to precisely calculate the reserves and develop the reservoir.With the background of delta reservoir in Daqing oilfield, selected one block in Changyuan,Daqing as the research target, guided by sedimentology、 sequence stratigraphy、development geology、reservoir geology and other theoretical knowledge, according to theoutcrop observing and the core describing as well as logging and lots of data analyzing,sedimentary characteristics of delta front and delta plain, the characters and evolvementrules of the roomage distribution of sedimentary microfacies, the formation of single sandbody and the heterogeneity of the reservoir were researched with the method of reservoircharacterization. Through the study of delta front under-water channel microfacies andsheet sands, described the delta front subfacies and the sedimentary microfacies of underplain facies, put forward new understanding about the deposition of sand body and planeheterogeneity, characterized the subdivided single sand body, the detailed reservoirheterogeneity was realized, so we can know the reservoir well and get the whole knowledgeof reservoir characteristics, which provides better guidance to find the remaining oil.Daqing oilfied is continental deposit with various types of sand body and sedimentaryfacies horizontally and vertically, which causes high heterogeneity. Through making zones,we found that the internal and external condition of each zone is different. Took S3、P1asthe main target zones for study, did stratification study, made overall analysis aboutsedimentary microfacies and did single sand characterization. Base on these, concluded thereservoir heterogeneity, understand the reservoir properties and calculated the geologicalreserves briefly.
