As an important element of city wetland parks, plants possess not only multipleecological functions, but also important significance of landscape, and the landscapeconstruction is an important point for the study of city wetland park planning to fullyplay its ecological function. The paper focuses on the research of construction methodof plant community habitat in Chan Ba wetland park, and defines the connotation ofhabitat construction, namely: taking the theory of ecological restoration, communitysuccession, recreation, etc. as a guide, design artificially the wetland space, createecological factors such as water, terrain, light, soil, etc. for plant community growth andsuccession, having spatial organization places with natural internal order, and exploredesign method for construction of plant community to restore the wetland function. In recent years, due to the needs of urban construction development, a largenumber of industrial and agricultural production activities continue to erode the wetlandresources on the two sides of Ba River. Sand-excavating and inning destroye theoriginal wetland habitat, resulting in decrease of natural flood plain area in Chan Baecological zone, single structure of wetland vegetation community structure with thescattered remnants. This article takes the serious destruction status quo of Chan Banational wetland park as the breakthrough point, carrying out Chan Ba wetlandrestoration to regenerate the function of Chan Ba wetland park. In fact, it is the mostdirect for wetland plants to recover wetland function and landscape. Plants landscapeplanning and design play a vital role in the success of urban wetland park planning andconstruction. Based on the damage extent in different areas of Chan Ba wetland park, classify its wetland types. Wetland classification is the premise condition of wetlandrestoration, which is a precondition of wetland recovery. Build wetland plantcommunities habitat according to the characteristics of the wetland types, as well as theplants landscape grow environment with a rich diversity. This paper firstly summarizes the relevant research theory of wetland park plantcommunity landscape design and analyzing from the ecological restoration, communitysuccession theory and wetland ecology theory, builds plant community mode withspecies diversity. The plant community is built starting from habitat characteristics ofwetland types, combined with factors such as water system plane, section and terrainchange, soil and environmental of habitat design in different kinds of wetlands. In plantcommunity habitat construction, select dominant plants which meet the growthrequirements of wetland habitat to form group and determine the second domina ntplants, at the same time, choose some highlights with the theme features in differenttheme environment of one wetland to grow well with stable succession to build plantscommunity. The research results in this paper offer good application value for theconstruction of Xian Chan Ba national wetland park plant landscape as well as thereference value for the design of the same type of wetland plant landscape. The work was financially supported by the Program of Natural Science Foundationof Chin“aStudies on the Habitat-Site Modeling and during the Ecological Process of theUrbanization in Large and medium-Sized North-Western”(No.51278410/E080202,TIME:2013.01-2016.12).
