Damage occurring in large structure may lead to serious detriment. Damage detectionand identification are very important for large-scale structure. The purpose of this paper isto recognize large building structure damaged or not, according to the available nodestrain of structure FEM analysis. And dealing with the exist strain data, which can reflectthe change of the structure boundary condition, the change of structure stiffness andcross-section thickness, is the task of the paper. Analyze H beam steel structure memberand rectangular plate steel component as well as a section of Optical Valley Bridge, Wu-han, Hubei province by applying ANSYS FEM software.Find out if the structure injuredor not by the strain data of element and node obtained in the analysis.This paper studies how to judge structure damage or not with the available strain da-ta. Laplacian Operator applied in the injure recognize of1D linear beam and2D plate.In further, using Modified Laplacian Operator recognize that1D linear beam structuredamage lesser. In this paper, damage analysis of a section of Wuhan Optical ValleyBridge was taken into account. Lay a solid foundation for applying this content to practi-cal use by combining theoretical research and practical situation.The research indicates that recognize structure damage or not need only now availa-ble strain data, but not the statistics before damaged, and according to this, lesser damagestructure location also can be recognized.
