In this paper, it is take the Chang8reservoir with low porosity and low permeability reservoir in Chi46wells of Jiyuan oilfield as the research object, and take the electrical layer’ study as the focus, to monitor the method of edge water drive. Starting from the regional sedimentary background, we analysis various sedimentary indicators comprehensively, then establish the sedimentary facies model of target layer in the study area, and analyz the comprehensive mining condition of the region; and then study the heterogeneity, seepage and wettability characteristics of Chang8, expounds the development characteristics and oil well effective dynamic characteristics in development process. Based on the actual survey data, the relation between pore, permeability, and saturation is established.Then taking the electrical characteristics in Chang8as the core to study the reservoir " Four Relations through it we get the interpretation model of reservoir parameters. On the basis of the research above, we use ERT technology to get the electrical resistivity of area distribution through through the actual test data and the calculation. Finaly we analysis the effect of water drive and the law of diminishing on the region, and then establish3D geological model in the control of ERT technology. In the last, the examples are used to explore the waterflood front distribution controlled by the studying well in the area, in order to pave the way for the mining further into the area.
