The purpose of this paper is to exploit reservoir resources better in the west of Jingbian and promote the accuracy and the skill level of tectonic interpretation and reservoir prediction. According to the characteristics of low porosity, low permeability and low degree of exploration and study, the paper take the west of Jingbian as research object, integrated studied reservoir and seismic of Mesozoic reservoir in the study area, with a comprehensive application of the theory of sedimentology, petroleum geology, sequence stratigraphy and geophysics. The achievements are as follows:(1)The method of low structure interpretation and map of the low structure are systematically analyzed by using conventional structure interpretation technology. The paper summarizes that the low structure caused by differential compaction is the main factor controlling the reservoir.(2)The pre-Jurassic palaeogeomorphology in the study area is restored based on structural interpretation, which described the morphological characters of "one slope and one river valley". The paper summarizes the control mode of reservoir in the study area and the sandbody distribution character, oil migration pathway, trap conditions, the overlying sedimentary environments and morphological characters are the indispensable control factors of palaeogeomorphology.(3)The thickness of reservoir sands is predicted by using reservoir seismic inversions, seismic facies analysis and waveform character induction technology based on the characteristics of low porosity and extremely low permeability in the study area. We get the reservoir sand body thickness map of the main exploration target. The paper points out that the formation of the reservoir of Yanchang in the study area is controlled by source rock, sedimentary and other basic geological factors.(4)Spectral decomposition technology and absorption and attenuation technology, which can be used to predict oiliness of reservoir. Well test result of oil and spectrum decomposition result coincidence rate is63.6%.(5)With a total area of56.8km2, we evaluate29favorable areas in the study area, which contain Chang91, Chang82, Chang73and Chang72, based on considering the previous drilling results and logging results.(6)A set of seismic prediction approach of reservoir have been formed to suit the geologic characteristic of low porosity and low permeability in the study area. And it obtained better result.
