Transient Electromagnetic Method Producing Wells Resistivity Logging Technology Research

This article is based on the transient electromagnetic method to study producing wellsresistivity logging technology, the aim is to apply this technique for the remaining oildetection,confirme producing wells’ residual oil saturation and monitor dynamic reservoirdistirbution.In this paper, the combination of transient electromagnetic method and resistivity loggingtechnology, transient electromagnetic logging system has been designed.The main content ofthis study includes the study and analysis of transient electromagnetic theory and design oflogging system of transient electromagnetic. Based on the analysis of transientelectromagnetic theory, some theory is studyed include the logging principle of transientelectromagnetic method、principle of casing magnetization and the performance oftransmitting and receiving coils. Through the study of these theory, it lay a theoreticalfoundation for the overall scheme ’s designing of the transient electromagnetic detectionsystem and later data analysis and processing.In this paper. The transient electromagnetic logging system includes the launch system,the receiving system, the main control unit module, data acquisition module, temperaturemeasurement module, the natural gamma detection module, data transmission and lnouesystem. This implementes transient electromagnetic signal，the temperature signal and naturalgamma pulse acquisition, processing, transmission, processing and display of the PC software.The main control unit is PIC microcontroller which sends the control signals to transmissionbridge which transmits the signals by coil. The received TEM signals are amplified, filtered,sampled with temperature signals by AID converter, then with gamma pulses coded by PICmicrocontroller, and sent to ground by cable. After processed on ground circuit, the signals areuploaded to PC software to verify, digital filter and display for explaining.Combining theoretical research with experimental simulation test system, the test showesthat, this paper presents the design of the based on production wells resistivity loggingtechnology of transient electromagnetic logging system is feasible, and it also provides animportant reference for the research of transient electromagnetic method production wellsresistivity logging technology.
