Intuitionistic fuzzy set is a generalization of fuzzy set theory. Comparing with thetraditional fuzzy set, intuitionistic fuzzy sets includes three factors simultaneously:membership degree, non-membership degree and hesitancy degree. Therefore, it is moreflexible and practical than the traditional fuzzy set for dealing with uncertainty. Distance measureis an important research topic in intuitionistic fuzzy sets theory. Firstly, this paper gives thesystemic comparison and analysis on relative distance measure of intuitionistic fuzzy sets.Then, this paper detailed studies distance measure of accuracy vector, the fusion of rankingalternatives and distance measure matrix, and distance measure containing barycenter ofmembership degree etc. Finally, we apply these methods for multiple attribute decision makingin intuitionistic fuzzy sets. The concrete contents of this paper as follows:Firstly, This paper defines distance measure on the basis of intuitionistic fuzzy setsthrough accuracy vector, and it is applied to TOPSIS methods of intuitionistic fuzzy setsconbining with distance measure of the traditional score vector. So as to judge order ofalternatives, it is beneficial complement and expansion of the original ranking method.Secondly, This paper makes directly clustering according to different thresholds based onranking alternatives and distance measure matrix. All alternatives have different clusteringresults based on different thresholds. The numerical example proves the proposed method is smallercomputational complexity and more simpler program than the original method.Thirdly, This paper proposes the concept of three parameters intuitionistic fuzzynumber and three parameters intuitionistic fuzzy sets based on three parametersinterval-valued fuzzy set, and defines three kinds of distance measure containing thebarycenter of membership degree. On the basis, we provides a detailed analysis about weightdistance measure of three parameters intuitionistic fuzzy sets based on the different decision background. Finally, we validates the effectiveness of the method through numerical example.
