The Saihan’aobao Pb-Zn polymetallic deposit is located in Keshenketeng, Neimenggu Province. Since the favorable geological condition for mineralization, a lot of ore-bodies have beed found in this deposit. Therefore, a systematic understanding on these ore-bodies will be conducive to the rational development and effective using about mineral resources in this area. Recent studies, we have researthed the spatial distribution, composition and ore quality of several important ore-bodies in the deposit by geophysical prospecting methods of IP sweep surface and magnetic profile as well as the primary and/or secondary halo anomaly by geochemical exploration methods. These works could improve the control degree on the amount of resources, and provide effective guidance for future prospecting work.In Reshui area, the main signs of prospecting are NE direction tensileor or tenso-shear faults hosted in the Jurassic stratum, which were filled by silicification, chlorite and carbonate altered rocks, and riched in Pb-Zn polymetallic elements.The results of geochemical exploration reveals that gray-black sandy shale and siltstone in the Linxi group (P31) have the characterisic of high Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag, Sn and Mo; tuffaceous sandy conglomerate in the Gaolao group (J3b) can be characterized high Pb, Zn, Ag and Sn. On the other hand, the distribution characteristics of geochemical anomaly coincide well with the ore-bodies occurrence, which indicated that ore-bodies or ore-alteration is the main factors caused the primary and/or secondary halo anomaly.Moreover, by the geophysical prospecting methods, we obtianed two geophysical anomaly regions, which have the same spatial extent with the surface mineralization characteristic. One of them located in the IV region, which width is about1km and distributed as zonal characteristics by ladder IP sweep surface. The other one is located in the interchange region of the14and23ore-bodies, by the power ladder IP sweep surface, which can be characterized of lkm long,500m wide and a depth of100-500m, and also has the characteristic of low resistance and high chargeability anomalies, extending along NE orientation.
