Seafloor hydrothermal activity not only can produce abundant mineral resources and unique biological genetic resources, but also can have an important impact on the global heat flux and thermal cycling of chemical elements. So the study of hydrothermal activity has great scientific value and commercial applications value.At the same time, the traditional survey techniques has become increasingly difficult to meet the needs of studying seafloor hydrothermal activity so that researchers are urgent to look to advanced seafloor hydrothermal activity simulation technology for help.Hydrothermal activity simulation technology not only can deepen researchers’ understanding of seafloor hydrothermal activity, but also and easily get or control some temperature, pressure, chemical and dynamics values,so as to quantitatively analyze the problems associated with seafloor hydrothermal activity.The thesis designed a new type of seafloor hydrothermal activity simulation equipment based on the research demands and lacking of existing simulation devices both at home and abroad.The thesis includes six chapters.Chapter1introduces the significance of submarine hydrothermal activity, and then explains the necessity of hydrothermal simulation technology and discusses the current situation of domestic and international studies. At the end of this chapter the research purpose,contents and meaning are put forward.The second chapter expounds the overall design of the seafloor hydrothermal activity simulation system in conjunction with related characteristics of hydrothermal fluids.And the temperature monitoring and control system and pressure monitoring and control system principle are also introduced.The third chapter first discusses the necessity of CFD simulation and then use many comparative experiments to analyzed the factors which have influence on the simulation effect of diffusion kettle. Besides, some referential design guides of diffusion kettle are put forword.The fourth chapter designs the diffusion kettle’s specific structural forms based on its operating requirement and then calculate the size of it according to some relevant standards.At the end of this chapter, the strength of the overall structure and support ring is check combined with the ANSYS finite element analysis method. The fifth chapter describes the hardware platform and software platforms of the seafloor hydrothermal simulation devices,and explains the PC control software design and upper-lower computer communication theory.Besides,experimental researchs related to temperature and pressure control are done to check reliability and practicality of the hydrothermal simulation platform.The sixth chapter gives a brief generalization about all the research work of this thesis and a prospect about further research is given.
