Study On Suitability Evaluation Of National Park Tourism Facilities Land Supported By GIS

In recent years, with the development of the GIS (Geographical Information System) technology, To make it widely application in all fields with planning、protect、development、 utilization and management of the scenic area. From dynamic to static, or from qualitative to quantitative, GIS technology provides strong technical support for scientific decision-making by each government department.The scenic area, as the legal and protected heritage area of china have very different with the ordinary city in the approach of development and utilization. How to protect and utilize the resources of scenic area is a major problem that urban planner and manager should face.This article uses suitability evaluation of national park tourism facility’s land as a starting point by analyzing the characteristics and assessment requirements of national park tourism facilities land and discussing methods of land suitability evaluation. The paper uses MeiJiang Scenic as an example and combines GIS and AHP do the research of evaluating the suitability of facility land.The following contents is included in the research:(1) The paper describes the basic theories of land of facilities in scenic area and methods for suitability evaluation of tourism facilities land in national park, and introduces important concepts, compositions, main functions and application of Geographical Information System. In addition, the concept, steps and characteristics of AHP and Suitability evaluation model is analysed.(2) The research analyses the land use characteristics and evaluation requirements of suitability assessment of facilities land in national park tourism. Also, suitability evaluation methods are discussed in the paper by using Suitability Evaluation Model in terms of hierarchy structure, valuation grade, quantitative classification, the elements of the evaluation index selection, index quantification and weight of tourist facilities.(3) Under the support of GIS technology, a database of evaluation has established in the study area and using suitability evaluation ways evaluate the tourist facilities land use. Finally, it draws a partial map of national park tourism facilities land uses, and analyse the evaluation results.The research focus on the suitability evaluation of facilities land in scenic areas and build a set of suitability evaluation system, and applied it into practical case. The research maybe provides some sights for theory and practice in term of application of suitability evaluation of facilities land in scenic areas.
