Under the conditions of imaging system with monochromatic light we have studied the chromatic aberration in the diffraction-restrained system with polychromatic light. We compared the situations of single point diffracted by circular aperture diffraction under the conditions of monochromatic and polychromatic light by MATLAB and got the least distance that can be distinguished by the system with different polychromatic illumination. At the same time, we got the least distance of the system and it’s chromaticity diagram when we considered the response of CCD. Then we studied the MTF using the transfer function and got the changing curve about MTF and wave length. Finally a method which can eliminate the chromatic aberration in theory was presented.
