Shihu gold deposit is located in the northwest of Lingshou,Hebei Province ofShijiazhuang. Its depositional tectonic setting has stretched out from Shanxi platformto Sino Korean platform. There are also Wutai anteklise,Fuding archdome fold andChen Zhuang compound syncline. Furthermore,the granodiorite was found atexternal contact zone in the southeast of Yanshan Mapeng.Analysing the geological feature and the state of exposed vein of Shihu golddeposit by use of microscope and Electron Probe Micro-Analysis,the ore deposit isdivided into following three stages; first,Pyrite sulphide penetrating into quartz vein,second,polymetallic sulfide penetrating into quartz vein stage,and lastly, Carbonatepenetrating into quartz vein. After studying occurrence of minerals containing goldand silver and Pyrite’s mineralogical feature,metallogenic mechanism will be focusedin this essay.This research depicts the ore minerals of the Shihu gold deposit,and mainlyfocuses on Pyrite,Chalcopyrite,Galena and Sphalerite. In addition,the report alsocoverssub-metals following Electrum,Küstelite,Argentite,Cervelleite,Natural silver,minerals containing gold and silver, etc. Gangue minerals are Quartz,Potassiumfeldspar,Plagioclase,Sericite,Muscovite,Apatite,Barite,Calcite.While primary minerals containing gold in Shihu is generated from the quartzvein where Pyrite sulphide penetrates,and their output frequency is high,thegold-containing minerals derived from the quartz vein where polymetallic sulfidepenetrates has low output frequency,but the silver-containing minerals has highoutput frequency.The value of the S/Fe ratio of Pyrite’s main elements created in Shihu golddeposit is lower than that of sulfur,and the result coming from analysis of content ofCo and Ni is Co>Ni and Co/Ni>1.Taking into account the value,it has come the conclusion that Pyrite from theresearch area was generated by volcano rocks and the ore body.Considering the value of Fe/S,it can be concluded that Shihu gold deposit ismagmatic hydrothermal deposit.The gold-and-silver-containing minerals in Shihu gold deposit are Electrum, Küstelite,Argentite,Cervelleite,Natural silver,and the first mineral that was foundin the research area was Cervelleite. It is found in the quartz vein where polymetallicsulfide penetrates,and co-exists with Galena,and partly only with sulfide such asPyrite and chalcopyite. The types of its structure are columnar, stumpy andgranularity’s automorphic-hypautomorphic.
