Research On Exploitation Prospect Of Gas Hydrate Of Southern Qilian Basin, Qinhai Province

Accompanied with the accelerating modern industrialization and the progress ofhuman civilization, our country require much more clean energy, such as natrualgas.Compared with foreign developed country, the supply and demand contradictionof china’s natrual gas is very outstanding, for the exploited gas can not meet the needsof the gas consumption. Gas hydrate is a kind of new resource of specialenergy-storage and high heat of conbustion, thus it will become a kind of main cleanenergy in the world in future. Since the southern Qilian found gas hydrate samples,the region has made a lot of gas hydrate’s basic theory, exploration and development,etc. Although our country has carried out many studies on hydrate, but it still lacks ofapplication research in actual production, especially that reseaching on hydrateresource evaluation and development and utilization.Firstly, through summarizing exsisting geological data of southern Qilian basin,analysed the favorable geological conditions of gas hydrate occurrence based on thebasical geological characters of regional strata, lithology and tectonic conditions. Atthe same time, taking reseach on the natrual hydrate formation, migration, reservoir,capping and preservation conditions and preliminarily estimatiing the gas hydrateresoures of favorable areas according the theory of hydrocarbon accumulation.Secondly, having a analysis of the current situation of natrual resource supply anddemand in China, and then forecasting the long-term demand of our country’s natrualgas resources through transfer function model, and analyed the impact of hydratereources development to gas market. Finally, through compared the reseach progressof gas hydrate exploration and development of foreign main developed countries,forecasting the time interval of hydrate test-mining based on the actual reseachconditions in southern Qilian basin. Analyzing the favorable and unfavorableconditions exsisted in the exploration and development of gas hydrate in southernQilian basin, and then putting forward relevant measures and suggestion to acceleratethe development of hydrate.
