With the worsening of global climate, more and more experts and scholars beganto study global environmental and climate change trends in the future. But predictingthe future needed to understand the past which made the study of ancient climate andenvironment had become a hot topic in recent years. The study of ancient climateresearch also established the ancient hydrological important role in the whole researchprocess at the same time. However, according to the regional statistics on the ancienthydrological studies, China’s ancient hydrological research and development isrelatively slow, and even the entire ancient hydrological research in Asia relative toNorth America, Europe and Australia have a lot of shortcomings, especially China inancient river flow aspects of the research is nothing, had been using theoretical methodsexperts and scholars abroad.During the study of ancient environments on global climate change, thecharacteristics of ancient water cycles and their influence in the ancient environmentand climate change is one of the key elements of the study. The core content of watercycle is surface water cycle which is critical to surface runoff. And river is the importantcomponent of rivers which become to be necessary to surface water balance and watercycle research. The ancient river flow quantitative studies can illustrate basinhydrological characteristics of climate change, so the study of ancient river flow onglobal climate change paleoenvironmental research process was draw a high degreeattention. During the study of the ancient hydrological analysis it is usually utilizedancient ancient river bed morphology and sedimentary facies, because most of theancient river hydrological information are hidden in ancient sedimentary facies andtheir ancient river channel morphology were. In the ancient environment of globalclimate change research process flow medieval studies is not only the core content ofancient hydrological studies and paleoenvironmental reconstruction, but alsounderstanding the hydrological state of the global environment in the future course ofclimate change.Weixi·nan depression developed in the northern part of the Beibu Gulf Basin innorthern depression which is mainly in the Cenozoic sediments, divided in PaleocenePaleogene long stream formation, Liu Shagang and Oligocene Weizhou formation. AndLiu Shagang formation includes lacustrine facies and delta facies, lithology consists ofdark gray, brown and gray mudstone, shale, mixed with gray sandstone and siltstone. According to the distribution of Eocene Liu Shagang estuary alluvial fan, the studyselected Weixi·nan depressed region in southwestern alluvial delta. Using of riverhydrology empirical formula method combined Sedsim numerical model reproducesthe delta deposition ancient times, and recoveried flow curves of period Liu Shagangstream alluvial river delta formation to obtained and consistent with the reality ofsedimentary facies delta rivers, lakes and other hydrological information. To achievethe status of the ancient hydrological numerical precision, rather than a qualitativedescription of the projected use of modern river sediments and sedimentary analysis ofempirical values given for the study of its ancient river basin climate to provide areliable basis.
