This thesis is a study on the morphology and taxonomy of feather mite from some section of China by traditional method, based on specimens from depository,Individuals and friends. the type specimens of the species are deposited in the Institue of Entomology. Southwest University. The general situation of feather mife is reviewed, then, the studies on feather mites are simply. In order to meet the needs of the development of Acarology Study. We carries out the study on feather mites from birds of some section of China, the feather mite specimens wsa observed and described under sterscopic and light microscope, respectively.In this paper,40species of14genera are recognized, of which4genera are newly recorded from China, and23new species,5new record species.The main results are as follows:New record genera: Strelkoviacarus Dubinin,1953, Dubininia Vassilev,1958, Gymnalloptes Gaud,1968, Neocalcealges Orwig,1968.New species:Proterothrix fractura sp. nov., Proctophyllodes tephronotus sp. nov., Proctophyllodes plate sp. nov., Proctophyllodes auroreus sp. nov., Proctophyllodes cyana sp. nov., Proctophyllodes nagaensis sp.nov., Proctophyllodes dapingensis sp.nov., Proctophyllodes salices sp. nov., Proctophyllodes sublato sp. nov, Proctophyllodes bakeri sp. nov., Proctophyllodes council sp. nov., Analges argentauris sp. nov., Analges spinus sp. nov., Analges merula sp. nov., Analges alba sp. nov., Analges monticolus sp. nov., Analloptes aquaticus sp. nov., Analloptes qujingensis sp. nov., Dubininia undulates sp. nov., Neocalcealges acutissima sp. nov., Passeroptes formosus sp. nov., Passeroptes poecilorhynchus sp. nov., Passeroptes picae sp. nov..New record species:Proctophyllodes pheuctici Atyeo,1966, Proctophyllodes motacillae Atyeo,1966, Analgopsis sittae Mironov,1985, Dubininia melopsittaci Atyeo,1987, Calcealges malayensis Orwig,1968.The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the College of Plant Protection, Southwest University.
