In recent years, with the gradual depletion of exploitation of shallow coal resources,more and more coal mines have been the level of deep mining, with the increase ofmining depth, the increase of mine temperature is one of the essential problems.According to high temperature of mine,domestic and foreign scholars have taken manydifferent methods to solve it, but these methods are mostly that all kinds ofrefrigeration equipments are used to reduce the high temperature in the deep mine, inthis way, cooling effect is guaranteed better, but electric energy is consumed in theprocess of using these methods, so cost price per ton of coal is correspondinglyincreased at a certain extent.As a result of the high temperature of deep mine is mainly caused by heatdissipation of surrounding rock, in order to solve this problem, it is very necessary andpressing to research insulating and cooling material which fits for underground. Thepaper is about insulating and cooling material made of expanded and vitrified beads andcement mortar, the performance indexes of composite mortar that is mixed withdifferent proportion expended and vitrified beads are got, such as compression strength,flexural strength, softeningcoefficient, thermal coefficient and so on, then data of eachgroup is compared and analysed, a kind of thermal insulation material is got that itsperformance is better. The proportioning of cement, sand and water is1:3:1.2in thisthermal insulation material, and admixing quantity of small expended and vitrified ballis50%of the quality of the cement used, thermal coefficient at the average temperatureof34℃and36.5℃is0.2382W/(m·℃) and0.2070W/(m·℃) respectively, thecompression strength of this material is9.9MPa, its flexural strength is3.06MPa, and itssoftening coefficient is0.87.Through the comparison of the calculated results, it is found that this heatinsulation material is used to build roadway or cooperated with cooling equipment cannot only improve the cooling effect, but also will greatly reduce cost price per ton ofcoal.
