It’s roof management is difficulty, because it is restricted in stope conditions andsupport technology. Under the action of ground pressure, can easily cause single proppushed down, equipment damaged and casualty, therefore, it’s important for productionsafety that behavior law of mine pressure, the characteristics of surround rock stress andpillar bearing are studied. This paper has801of thin seam mining face as its engineering background, withthe methods of laboratory testing of rock physical parameters, field measurement, similar simulation experiment, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. It dealswith the study of behavior law of mine pressure, as well as the the structure of theoverlying rock strata and its movement characters. This paper analysis and summary the behavior law of mine pressure, the characteristics ofpillar bearing and front abutment pressure distribution characteristic by fieldmeasurement, the roof of the working face is analyzed. Based on the field observationand the results of laboratory testing of rock physical parameters, the results show thatthe main roof is the I grade and the roof weighting is not obvious. Overlying Stratacharacteristics is analyzed by using key strata theory, it get results of the position of keystratum, the effects on mine pressure and the height of caving zone and fractured zone of theworking face. The failure characteristics of overlying strata and its displacementregularity are got by field measurement. The results played an effective role in guiding the mining of thin coal seam face inLugou coal mine, which ensured mine production safety, and they can provide atheoretical guidance for other mines with similar geological conditions and miningtechnology.
