Dimethyl carbonate (DMC) is an important chemical raw material widely used inindustries of industry态agriculture and medicine. The planning and construction ofYankuang Guohong Company DMC project is based on a scale of100kt/a. Incombination with the actual condition of Yankuang Guohong Company, the detailedintroductions of the method of ester exchange to synthesis DMC, the process routeand the domestic and foreign new technology research progress are made in thisarticle. This article discussed the preparation method and the application condition ofthe catalyst, and the influences of these parameters in the synthesis of DMC. Theobtained results can play a guiding role in productive process of catalyst dosage ratio,the reaction temperature, time control, and catalyst service life extension.In addition, this article analyzes the influences of reaction parameters such astemperature, pressure, and liquid level in the synthesis of DMC. This article alsoanalyzes the reasons of the abnormal running of the production plant and the relevantadjustment method, which provided the basis for the determination of the best processconditions and the safe operation of the equipment, so as to ensure the qualified DMCproduction.
