Based on the721uranium ore mountain among clouds, tail mineral sand as theresearch object, through data collection, field sampling, the uranium ore pool immersiontest, tail mineral sand static leaching experiment and dynamic column experiments undersimulated conditions, research on radioactive nuclide thorium in the leaching process ofuranium hydrometallurgy process and dissolve in the tailings, hydrogeochemicalcharacteristics of migration,the results showed that:(1)Because of the uranium and thorium chemical properties are different, theleaching rate of thorium is about14%, uranium leaching rate is about80%. In uraniummine in the process of acid leaching, leaching rate of thorium is low, most of the thoriumreserves in the tailings.(2)Resin for uranium in uranium mine production is a selective adsorption,the ionresin for thorium adsorption, dissolve out of thorium with waste water back to the tailings.(3)Acid pool leaching experiment of thorium leaching rate is higher than staticimmersion test and dynamic simulation experiment (simulated conditions of pH of4)leaching rate of thorium, shows that the acidity has a great influence on thorium leaching,acid dissolution performance greater than the weak acid for thorium.(4)Tailings of saturation, under the condition of simulated, as time increases,thorium concentrations in leachate with gradually increasing, the52hours basically stable;With the increase of depth, richness in the leach liquor concentration gradually increased,the maximum value of0.125mg/L. In simulated conditions, the leaching liquid of pHreduced gradually, the basically stable at about5.8,the results are basic similar to the tailings exudate field sampling pH value (5.0). Mainly due to acid precipitation and pyritein tailings produced by oxidation of acidic water leaching the acidification process.Main innovation points:(1) By pond leaching and ion exchange resin adsorption experiments, finding theleaching characteristics of thorium and conversion process in uranium hydrometallurgyprocess;(2) Through the tail mineral sand static and dynamic experimental research, havemade positive and effective exploration of the tailings pond thorium dissolved, migrationconditions, characteristics and mechanism of active exploration, is a creative work.
