At present, the class of oil and gas transmission line tube mainly used spiral seamsubmerged arc welding pipe in our country. This article adopts the finite element method,the forming regularity of spiral welded pipe three roller bending and welding process andits related problems are studied in this paper which aims at improving the productionefficiency of spiral weld pipe and the quality of the product.This article adopts the finite element method to try to reveal the relationship betweenspiral welded pipe forming process parameters and the forming quality of tube billet.This article take the finite element analysis software ABAQUS as a broad platform tothe numerical simulation work of SSAW. First, the parameterized spiral welded pipeforming finite element model was established based on the Python script interface, then ofthe effect of numerical simulation parameters on simulation results were analysis in detail.Secondly, in this article, the change between the major process parameters andforming quality were studied in details. The response surface models of SSAW formingquality are established using radial basis function response surface method by simulationresults from Latin square design for the sample points. Preliminary reveals the relationshipbetween the forming parameters combination of pipe diameter deviation, and presents theoptimized spiral welded pipe forming positioning parameters.At last, according to the spiral welded pipe welding process, a simplified3Dwelding model was established by ABAQUS. This paper reveals the evolution law of theSSAW temperature field and stress field in the inside and outside welding process. At thesame time, the residual stress distribution after welding was obtained. Welding speeddetermines the efficiency of spiral welded pipe production, in the end, the weldingresidual stress distribution under different welding speed was given.Through the numerical simulation on SSAW, we summarize some laws of the SSAWforming process, so it provides important guidance for the forming process project andoptimization.
