Cobalt–nickel alloys are used widely in industry area because of its goodperformance. Its performance changes a lot with the change of the cobalt content.Cobalt–nickel alloys cladding material with low content cobalt performance goodat hardness, wear-resisting and anti-corrosion, it used widely in thewear-resisting and anti-corrosion industry parts. Cobalt–nickel alloys claddingmaterial with high content cobalt has good electromagnetic properties, it usedwidely in electronic and aerospace areas. Besides the cobalt–nickel alloyscladding material with high content cobalt has good high temperatureperformance, it can be used in Hot work die and inner coating of the Continuouscasting crystallizer.The quality of the inner coating of the crystallizer should bebetter with the developing of the continuous casting technology. The applicationof the high content cobalt–nickel alloys in the inner coating of the crystallizercause more attention because of its good performance at high temperature,hardness and wear-resisting.The main study contents in this paper is electroforming cobalt-nickel alloyin sulfamate. The main purpose is to obtain a mm level, content of cobalt at90-93wt.%, hardness at320±70Hv and low innerstress cobalt–nickel alloyscladding material which can be used in inner coating of the crystallizer.The study at the pretreatment of the copper etching, compare to the previouspretreatment of the copper etching and put forwards a new copper etching craft,its quantity of copper etching is smaller and performance is better.Put forward a new mixed anode system, i.e. mixed nickel button, cobaltbutton into the titanium basket is used as an electroforming anode system, andstudy the feasibility of this system.Ascertain a electroforming cobalt-nickel alloy craft and then electroformcobalt-nickel alloy in the sulfamate to get a mm level cobalt–nickel alloyscladding material. Make a study at the relation of the cobalt content in the platingsolution and the cladding material and then optimize the electroformingcobalt-nickel alloy craft. Compare the performance of the obtained cobalt–nickelalloys cladding material to the pure cobalt and the pure nickel cladding material.Make a study at the influence of the constitute of the plating solution, theoperating conditions on the innerstress and hardness of the nickel alloy craft toget a best electroforming cobalt-nickel alloy.To solve the problem of the edge coating tend to brittle cracking in the actual production, we conduct the electricforming cobalt-nickel alloy experimentin a extreme conditions of no saccharin sodium salt, and validated the influenceof low content saccharin sodium salt to the innerstress. Finally, we give advice tothe concentration of the saccharin sodium salt in the process of the electroform.
