In a chemical factory of500000tons of coal to methanol projects supportingapparatus for air separation process is analyzed, from the air separation by distillationprinciple to proceed, introduction to modern large enterprises of chemical oxygendemand of modern air separation and the separation method, air separation in moderncoal chemical production in the role and significance of. Review of modern large lowtemperature air separation process for production present situation, on the set of airseparation of the whole process in detail, introduces the cooling tower, cooling tower,plate-fin heat exchanger, distillation column, a crude argon column, refining argontower and other major equipment performance and simulation parameters setting. Theprocess simulation software PRO/II, select the PR equation as the study method ofsystem analysis was carried out on the air separation project distillation tower, twocrude argon column and refining argon tower material stream flow, temperature,pressure, composition and other parameters of process undertook thorough simulationstudy. Process simulation and production data are compared, found that the purity ofthe product have reached or exceeded the requirements of production. In the processsimulation system based on the energy saving design, and the factory in air separationunit normal operation problems are reviewed, and proposed the improvement opinion,realize the overall energy saving in air separation system.
