Jingbian gas field is a typical low porosity, low permeability carbonate gas reservoir, The main reservoir distribute is widely but has strong heterogeneity, The output of vertical wells is low, the cost of development and management is high. Therefore, it has begun to increase the development of horizontal-well, But the horizontal well drilling faces the control by low-amplitude structure and heterogeneity, The reservoir has the negative factors such as rising and falling bigger, changing quickly, thin thickness, groove erosion and so on, It is difficult to guarantee the horizontal section extends at the best reservoir. Therefore, the research and application of horizontal-well geosteering technology has become a necessary technology of improving the development benefit for Jingbian gas field. This paper summarized the technology of horizontal-well geosteering for Jingbian gas field, researched new geosteering technology home and abroad, and constantly improved the geology steering technology for Jingbian gas field. Finally it has formed a strong operability horizontal-well geosteering technology for the thin carbonate reservoir of Jingbian gas field, and provided the guide for future development of horizontal-well.
