With the rapid development of the global economy, Shortage of energy and increase in demand, Global invest in renewable energy such as wind, hydro, tidal energy, nuclear energy and solar cell to solve the energy crisis and environmental。Where solar cell is inexhaustible, inexhaustible; and very safe, low cost, and free from environmental constraints, solar energy is directly converted into heat and electricity for the benefit of all mankind and has the most potential energy in the21st century, a large number of basic experiments to improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells, the sensitizer optical absorption performance has a great impact on the solar photovoltaic conversion.Inorganic nano-semiconductor material preparation method is simple and cheap, and its special size effect and the extinction coefficient, the important semiconductor materials as a photosensitive material replace the organic dye molecules. In this paper, we were prepared nanocables arrays of ZnO/CdTe, CdS sensitized ZnO/CdTe the nanocables array, ZnS modified ZnO/CdTe nano-cable array electrode. And to study the photoelectrochemical performance.First of all, Hydrothermal Synthesis of ZnO nanorod arrays, CdTe nanocrystals on the surface of ZnO nanorods array by electrochemical deposition, the samples of this structure is the anode of the solar cell anode,three-electrode system to test their photoelectrochemical properties, and have achieved good results.Secondly, the formation of ZnO/CdTe/CdS nanocables arrays electrode,which was prepared in three steps, firstly, ZnO nanowiresarray using the hydrothermal method;then the preparation of CdTe nano-shell using electrochemical deposition process; finally prepared CdS outer layer by SILARTested photoelectrochemical performance under the three-electrode system,compared photoelectrochemical performance of ZnO nanorod array,ZnO/CdTe nano-cables, and CdS/CdTe sensitized ZnO nano-cable electrode.Finally, using CdTe and ZnS sensitized ZnO nanowire arrays,the electrode prepared by three-step, first,the preparation of ZnO nanowire arrays on ITO conductive glass substrate by hydrothermal method; and the preparation of CdTe nano-shell using electrochemical deposition process;finally,prepared ZnS layer by the SILAR.Tested photoelectrochemical performance under the three-electrode, compare photoelectrochemical properties of the ZnO nanorod arrays, ZnO/CdTe nano-cables, ZnS passivated ZnO/CdTe nanocables as the electrode, excellent performance of ZnO/CdTe/ZnS core-shell electrode.
