The acceleration of urbanization process not only brings about the economic and society’s fast development,but also aggravate the environment pollution, cause climate warming,and worsen the environment quality. heat island effect, as a representative of the change of thermal environment, as an important fact which effect the urban environment quality, is increasingly became the issue which people focused on.Jinan, as the capital city of Shandong Province,also is one of the "Four Big Stove",the issue of urban thermal environment has became an important problem for sustainable development.The change of land use and land cover (LUCC) is the most prominent landscape mark on epigeosphere, it is also one of the heattest field for the research of human global climate change. The accelerate of urbanization process, cause the change of epigeophere type.This paper take Jinan’s urban area as research area,use multiperiod remote sensing image data,to research the change of Jinan’s land-use/cover and the change of thermal environment.Comprehensive use ground actual measurement data, remote data,meteorologital data and land-use data, to analysis the temporal and spatial variation of Jinan’s land-use/cover in recent ten years from the angle of spatial pattern; use multiperiod remote sensing image data to back analysis Jinan’s albedo and earth surface temperature,to analysis the changing of albedo and thermal environment of Jinan in recent ten years,to analysis the regulating effect which vegetation have on the city thermal environment;to analysis the relative between LUCC and the changing of city thermal environment, lay out reasonable city land-use pattern,to works on urban planning, ecological environment construction,to ensure our state ecological security.The main research conclusion as following:(1)From2002to2011, in research area, unused land and farm land has decreased, farmland area has deceased49.4225km2, the most increased area is new construction land, which increased28.5253km2, the change of water area is less.(2)The epigeophere albedo value of each underlying surface type from high to low is:unused land, new construction area, forest land, farm land, construction land and water area. Water land and main urban area is the low value area, and new construction land and farmland is the high value area.(3)The temperature of urban area is higher than surrounded area, except green land and water area, urban heat island effect is obviously. From2002to2011, along with the decreased of unused land, the high-temperature zone in Southeast has disappeared, it is only formed in the unused land which in South mountain area. In the year of2011, the heat island of urban is obviously expanded, the West, the East and new construction area of the North has all formed to high-temperature zone. From year2002to2012, along with the Jinan’s urban area expanded, the heat land scope has increased and in accordance with Jinan’s urban development direction. To compared with the year2002, Jinan internal temperature’s changing curve has relaxed, but the temperature differential among the different epigeophere has expanded; the urbanization process makes the urban heat effect much more obviously.(4)There is a considerable difference about earth surface average temperature among different land-use type. New construction area, construction area and unused land are higher, water area, farmland and forest land is lower. The area between old city and second ring has increase most new construction area, it’s albedo value changing is biggest, NDVI decreased most, and LST increased most. The area outside the second ring, has barely changed the earth surface type and LST. As a conclusion, the distribution of land-use type determinate the distribution of thermal environment.(5)In summer, the area which has the better forest cover, the NDVI value is higher, LST is lower, so as a conclusion, forest cover has negative correlation with LST. Forest can lower the temperature, it plays an important part to improve the urban thermal environment; green land has an important impact on urban albedo and LST.(6)Albedo has negative correlation with LST, and has positive correlation with NDVI,but the correlation is poor, LST has negative correlation with NDVI. The change of land-use type is the main reason which lead to the change of Jinan’s albedo and the change of urban thermal environment. The acceleration of urbanization process benifits heat island effect.
