Benzene pyrogallol functionalized the carbon nanotubes(CNTs)was used as support to load copper and cobalt. The prepared catalyst was used for conversion syngas to higher alcohols. The results of scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and temperature programmed reduction(TPR) indicate that diameter, specific surface area of CNTs influence the reactivity of the catalyst. With pyrogallol functionalized CNTs as the support, the space time yield of alcohols and selectivity can be improved.
