As a member of conjugated conducting polymers, polyaniline (PAN1) exhibits unique properties, has high electrical conductivity, be able to be doped, excellent environment stability and low cost. Conductive aramid fibers were prepared by in situ polymerization to form polyaniline layers on the surface of aramid fiber. In order to increase the fastness and uniformity of aniline on aramid fibers, we carried plasma treatment on aramid fibers. The influence factors of in situ polymerization and plasma treatment on aramid fibers was studied.1. Studying the effect of the processing conditions on the electrical conductivity of the fibers, the factors contain the types and concentrations of oxidant and doping acid, content of aniline monomer, reaction time and temperature. The optimal processing paramenters of in-situ polymerization were worked2. The effect of the pressure, power, processing time of low temperature plasma treatment condition on the electrical conductivity of fibers was studied.3. Studied and analyzed the structure and the property of the polyaniline/PPTA compound conductive fiber by using scanning electron microscope (SEM), infrared spectroscopic analysis (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and tensile test.4. Studied the washing fastness and durability of the electrically conduction fibers. Also, studied the conductivity of fibers when in high temperature and washing with acid-proof and anti alkaliproof.According to the experiments and analysis described in this dissertation, the following conclusions can be made:1. The optimum process is carried out at20℃for2hours with ammonium persulfate25g/L, hydrochloric acid0.6mol/L and aniline monomer16g/L, and the electrical conductivity reached0.47S/cm.2. The three optimal plasma treatment parameters are:processing power is90W, processing time is3min, pressure is40Pa; 3. Comparing with electrical conductive fibers without plasma treatment, electrically conductive fibers with plasma treatment have higher electrical conductivity.4. The analysis of FT-IR indicated that the composite fibers were the mixture of PANI and aramid. The mechanical and thermology properties were as good as before.
