Abstract/Summary:
China is one of the largest agricultural countries in the world. Approximately,0.74billion tons of various crop residues are generated annually. The lignocellulose structure is complex and the C/N is high in rice straw (RS) and corn stover (CT). The lignocellulose was difficultly degraded by anaerobic bacterium. The ammonic pretreatment can not only break the cellulose structure, but also provide sufficient nitrogen source for anaerobic digestion system. Rice straw and corn stover was used as the experimental material. Anaerobic digestion performance of ammonic pretreatment straw was investigated at mesophilic conditions with different feed loads (50gTS/L,65gTS/L and80gTS/L), different moisture contents (30%,50%,70%and90%) and different ammonia dosages (2%,4%and6%).The results showed that anaerobic digestion performance of ammonic pretreated RS and CT could be improved. The biodegradability and digestibility of RS achieved the best results at the loading rate of65gTS/L with the doses of4%NH3and the moisture content of70%.The technical digestion time (T90) was30days, which were11-12days,16days and10days respectively less than other ammonia-pretreated、untreated and2%NaOH pretreated RS. The total biogas production was18576ml at T90, which were1.78%-12.73%and21.91%more than others ammonic pretreated RS and untreated RS with low moisture content, respectively. The total biogas production were also13.95%and3.67%more than ammonic pretreated RS (2%NH3and70%H2O) and2%NaOH-pretreated RS. The CH4content reached60%on seventh days, which were7-11days and4~7days earlier than ammonic pretreated RS with the low moisture content(30%and50%) and2%NaOH pretreated RS.The technical digestion time (T90) of ammonic pretreated CT was38days with the moisture content of70%and the doses of4%NH3, which were7-14days,15days,5days earlier than other ammonia-pretreated CT, untreated CT and2%NaOH-pretreated CT, respectivelly. The total biogas production was18666mL at T90, which were4%-8%,26.70%and3.80%more than other ammonia-pretreated CT, untreated CT and2%NaOH-pretreated CT, respectivelly. The CH4content reached60%on7-9days, which were7~11days and10-15days earlier than the other ammonic pretreated CT and2%NaOH pretreated CT, respectivelly.Anaerobic digestion performance of ammnic pretreated RS and CT were investigated in this thesis, this study could provide reliable experimental data for the large-scale utilization of rice straw and corn stover.
