The pickle wastewater is one of the high-salinity wastewater, due to the pickles production is seasonal, the characteristic of the wastewater quality is fluctuant. Overall, high concentrations of organic and N,P,high salinity, low pH in waste water of pickles bring serious threat and destruction to treatment of industrial waste water. At present, people adopt different processing methods for the waste water of different salt, the conclusion is various, the quality composition of pickles wastewater is complicated, but COD removal is still the main problem for pickles wastewater. this paper utilize one Beijing pickles factory wastewater as the research object, and then investigated respectively the applicability of coagulation, anaerobic digestion, aerobic activated sludge.Employing coagulation sedimentation method disposed wastewater of pickles. After adjusting water to neutral,we determined the best flocculant types and the best dosage, and then study the effects of the waste water, s pH and dilution multiple on COD removal efficiency. The experimental results show that when PAM is coagulant aid、PFS is flocculants and its dosage is3000mg/L and wastewater, s pH is8,the removal rate of COD reached their highest productivity as high as42%, at the same time, dilution multiples of the raw water will enhance the degree of the removal rate of COD in different level and ionic strength has a certain influence on wastewater treatment. The wastewater of pickles is treated by biological treatment of anaerobic digestion。 Setting up three different salt content (0.6%,2.5%,6%) and three different organic loading(low load900mg/L, medium load1500mg/L, high load3000mg/L)investigate the influence of different salt content at the same organic load (1500mg/L) and different organic load at the same salt content(2.5%)of wastewater to COD removal efficiency of anaerobic digestion reactor. The research results show that under different salinity at the same organic load, the removal rate of COD are85%,84%and85%respectively,and under the different organic loading at the same salt content, COD removal rate was89%,86%and53%. With the increase of salt content and organic load, the COD removal efficiency is gradually decline in reactor。 The inhibitory effect is most obvious on the reactor of6%salt content and high organic loading, the removal rate is63%and58%respectively. After two months of domestication, the COD removal efficiency of salt content below2.5%and the organic load less than1500mg/L of the anaerobic reactor can reach above84%.The wastewater of pickles is treated by aerobic activated sludge。 The setting of salt content and organic load is as same as the anaerobic reactor, and then research the influence of different salinity and different organic load to the activated sludge system. The research results show that with the increase of salinity, inhibition of wastewater to activated sludge increased, but the increase of the organic load would be activated to COD removal in sludge method.Under different salinity at the same organic load, the removal rate of COD are89%,86%and74%respectively, and under the different organic loading at the same salt content,COD removal rate was84%,86%and93%.Above all, when using coagulant PFS, we can obtain good effect of COD removal. So it is suitable for the wastewater treatment process. Anaerobic digestion and Aerobiotic active sludge digestion can effectively remove the COD in waste water, but salt content and initial COD concentration have larger effect on COD removal rate. High concentrations of salinity and COD have inhibition for anaerobic digestion, and under the aerobic condition, salt content have effect on COD removal rate but within a certain range, the COD concentration increased, the removal rate also increase accordingly.
