Oil is taken as the continuous phase for the oil-based drilling fluid. The electricity stability is perfect and the plastic viscosity and the filter loss are low. It proves to be excellent in some aspects that the shale rejection capability is good, it is of high temperature and drillings resistance, the antifouling property and the lubricating property are perfect and the reservoir protection effect is good. Use of oil-based drilling fluid can help improve the rate of penetration, wellbore stability and reservoir protection. It can be used for strata that may collapse easily and evaporate bed, especially for the strata of which the aqueous phase activity difference is major and the low tension strata and ocean deepwater drilling of which the energy is prostrate. It has become an important means of high temperature deep drilling, high-angle directional wells, horizontal wells and a variety of complex formation of highly difficult. This article tracks the latest international technology developments and the system studied in this paper new all oil-based drilling fluid indoor research.On the basis of consulting the domestic and overseas literature, the test method of evaluation is studied first. Secondly, in-depth analysis of oil-based drilling fluid composition and performance tuning mechanism, for the lack of performance of oil-based drilling fluid, preferably a performance better suited to oil-based drilling fluid base fluid and the main processor, and its performance is evaluated. The best dosage of the major treatment agent is determined and ultimately the new type full-oil-based drilling fluid formulation is got. A large number of indoor researches of the performance of the basic formulation of new full-oil-based drilling fluid at the same time are carried out. Thus, we can easily conclude that the new full oil-based drilling fluid system research for the further development of oil-based drilling fluid technology field trials in the country has laid a solid theoretical foundation, has great potential for development and promotion of practical value.
