As the economy develops, people need more and more asking to the coatings, in whichthe decoration would be a key to improve the function of coatings. For decorating, stainresistance and self-cleaning ability shall be considered. Amphiphilic polymers have a specialstructure like owning both hydrophilic groups and hydrophobic groups making it availablethat being used as stain resistance and self-cleaning coatings. UV-curable technology has avery large prospect as its advantages such as low energy cost and fast curing rate and so on. Inthis article, the mainline would be the synthesis of a kind of UV-curable amphiphiliccopolymer and its application for stain resistance and self-cleaning, and make a full research.(1)Acrylic copolymers containing F-atom (PHESF) were synthesized via free radicalcopolymerization in solution with kinds of acrylates as monomers in the first place, thenprepolymers of isocyanato-containing unsaturated monomer (HIp) synthesized via were usedto react with PHESF to obtain UV-curable hydrophobic prepolymer with low surface energy(U-PHESF). In the experiment, the fluorine content was considered as factor influencing thehydrophobicity of the prepolymer and a series of prepolymers were synthesized, then themolecular structure was characterized from FT-IR and NMR, and the molecular weight andPDI was measured via GPC. The U-PHESFs were used as matrix resin of free radicalUV-curable formulas and the contact angle and surface tension of the films were focused, theadhesion and hardness of the films were measured as well. Besides, Stain resistance of filmswere measured later.(2)Acrylic copolymers containing sulfo-group (PHEMA) were synthesized via freeradical copolymerization in solution with kinds of acrylates as monomers in the first place,then prepolymers of isocyanato-containing unsaturated monomer (HIp) synthesized via wereused to react with PHEMA to obtain UV-curable hydrophobic prepolymer with low surfaceenergy (U-PHEMA). Then the U-PHEMA was ionized to obtain IU-PHEMA. In theexperiment, the monomer containing sulfo-group content was considered as factor influencingthe hydrophilicity of the prepolymer and a series of prepolymers were synthesized, then themolecular structure was characterized from FT-IR and NMR, and the molecular weight andPDI was measured via GPC. The IU-PHEMAs were used as matrix resin of free radicalUV-curable formulas and the contact angle of the films were focused, the adhesion andhardness of the films were measured as well. Besides, self-cleaning ability of films weremeasured later. On that basis, the anti-fog ability of the films were tested as well.(3)Acrylic copolymers containing F-atom&sulfo-group (PHEMFA) were synthesizedvia free radical copolymerization in solution with kinds of acrylates as monomers in the firstplace, then prepolymers of isocyanato-containing unsaturated monomer (HIp) synthesized viawere used to react with PHEMFA to obtain UV-curable amphiphilic prepolymer(U-PHEMFA). Then the U-PHEMFA was ionized to obtain IU-PHEMFA. In theexperiment, the mole ratio of monomer containing F-atom and monomer containingsulfo-group was considered as factor influencing the amphiphilicity of the prepolymer and aseries of prepolymers were synthesized, then the molecular structure was characterized from FT-IR and NMR, and the molecular weight and PDI was measured via GPC. TheIU-PHEMFAs were used as matrix resin of free radical UV-curable formulas and the contactangle of the films and its amphiphilic invertible properties were focused, the adhesion andhardness of the films were measured as well.
