Nitrogen is one of the main pollute of waste water.Microorganisms playing a major role in the degradation of pollutants in water, makes it an important technology for in-situ bioremediation of polluted water bodies. And general microbial in-situ remediation technology is divided into two, one is added efficient contaminant-degrading microorganisms (such as photosynthetic bacteria, Effective Microorganisms, etc.); alternative dosing containing microbial activators which can promote microorganisms growth, detoxification and pollution biodegradable, the microbial activators usually contain nutritional substances, surface active agents, enzymes, and electron acceptors, and other substances, in order to achieve enhanced microbial degradation pollution purposes. To research and develop a microbial activators which is suitable for fixing nitorgen-rich waters, we take this experiment with water of the river around Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural. Several160liters buckets filled with water (the actual amount of water is approximately140liters) have been used, dosing independent R&D microbial activators into the river water, with aeration measures, determine the changes of nitrogen concentration in water, and observe the changes of microbial communities to evaluate the ability of the application effect of the microbial activators. From the experiment we frond that dosing only trace elements and aeration, the dissolved oxygen of water is maintained at the level above7mg/L, and ammonia of the experimental group and the control group were decreased about55%, total nitrogen degradation rate of both were at25%, indicating that only dosing of trace elements in water was ineffective to strengthen transformation of nitrogen, and the dissolved oxygen of water is the key role of nitrogen transformation. When only added growth factor into water, Niacin could significantly increase dissolved oxygen of the no aeration water body, while under the conditions of aeration, the dissolved oxygen of water in all buckets were at the level; dissolved oxygen of water is still in the leading position of the factors to promoting nitrogen cycle, and the impact of growth factor is very small. In The experiment added microbial activators, WMA-1and WMA-2could significantly enhance respiration of micro-organisms, and in water body C/N, for the range of5to10, the degradation rate of the ammonia was between27%-69%, and total nitrogen degradation rate was between11%to27%, the repetitive experiment showed that even in the low temperature (9℃to-12℃), the microbial activators was effective on the transfer of nitrogen in the water. The experiments also show that low molecular weight nutrients played a key role in the complex preparation, so search for stimulating microbial growth and metabolism, cheap and easy, and environmentally friendly organic carbon source will be the only way to research and develop microbial activators.
