With the rapid development of the information society, the great popularity of electronic products and increasing high speed of the CPU operation, the high-frequency electromagnetic radiation pollution has become increasingly serious. The electromagnetic environmental protection has been a rapidly growing field. Electromagnetic wave absorbing materials, which are the keys to eliminate electromagnetic radiation pollution and achieve military stealth technology, have become one of the hot spots of the domestic and international scientific research.Based on the theory of electromagnetic wave absorption and the model of λ/4, the paper designs and prepares the electromagnetic wave absorber by using phase modulation membrane(PMM).Through a series of studies in structure graphics, such as the closed structures, opening structures and composite structures, we successfully developed thin electromagnetic wave absorbers with wide bandwidth and good absorption.The results have shown that PMM, the ring tricycles structure with10mm spacing and15mm width, the absorption peaks are slightly before2.4GHz. With a reflection loss of-26dB, a better absorption has been achieved. As for bandwidth, the whole-10dB bandwidth has reached50%.The results have shown that PMM, the ring tricycles structure with10mm spacing and15mm width, a better absorption has been achieved. The absorption peak is at2.2GHz nearby, with a reflection loss of-25dB and greater width. When the frequency is in the range of2GHz~4GHz, the reflection is all below-10dB, which accounts for70%of the entire band.The studies of composite structures indicate that the reflection of electromagnetic waves of the electromagnetic wave absorber which is constituted of the combined graphics of the Union Jack shape and cycle ring in the frequency range of1.9GHz~3.5GHz is almost less than-10dB, which accounts for75%of the entire band. The ideal result has been obtained.The thickness of the gypsum dielectric body is at least1.9cm, when the absorption peak of the traditional resistive film absorber is at2.2GHz.Whereas the PMM can make the thickness of1.4cm~1.5cm with more than15%reduction, so that the effect of thinning design is remarkable.Compared to the traditional resistive film, the permeabilized structure of PMM can make the materials with air permeability. Besides, PMM is easy to industrialize and much more practical. In order to achieve greater breakthroughs on widening absorption and thinning the material, further study will focus on the in-depth study of the structure of PMM. The industrialization should also be strengthened so as to provide support of a series of high-performance new materials for the indoor electromagnetic radiation pollution protection.
