Since the disposable commodities solid-phase extraction (SPE) column first appearedin1978, the solid-phase extraction has been the most widely used due to its advantagessuch as high recovery and enrichment factor, less organic solvent consumption, simpleoperation, easy to automate and no phase separation operating. This paper aims to developa new pretreatment technology-magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) and synthesis newsolid-phase extraction sorbents, the method not only retains the advantages of traditionalsolid-phase extraction but also combines with well magnetic response, large surface area,small particle size of the magnetic materials, meanwhile, MSPE overcomes tedioussampling, time consuming of the operation and large dosage of the sorbents of thetraditional solid phase extraction, to establish new technology of combinationhigh–performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with magnetic solid phaseextraction(MSPE) and flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer(FAAS) with magneticsolid phase extraction(MSPE) to separate of pollutants in the environment. The maincontents are as follows:(1)Synthesis of long chain alkyl the modified magnetic silicon sphere, C12-Fe3O4/SiO2,and characterized with FT-IR, SEM, VSM, particle analysis, using C12-Fe3O4/SiO2asextractant to develop a analysis method by MSPE combine with HPLC to determinationphthalate esters in Yangtze water. Various parameters affecting MSPE were optimizedsystematically, under optimal conditions, an enrichment factor is34-133, with a detectionlimit of0.025-0.107ng/mL, the method has been successfully applied to determination oftrace phthalate esters in the Yangtze River water (Huanggang distrct).(2)Synthesis of β-cyclodextrin modification of magnetic silicon sphere, β-CD-Fe3O4/SiO2, and characterized with FT-IR, SEM, VSM, particle analysis, using β-CD-Fe3O4/SiO2as extractant to develop a analysis method by MSPE-combine with HPLC todeterminate phenolic compounds in Yangtze water. Various parameters affecting MSPE were optimized systematically, under optimal conditions, the enrichment factor is134-951,with a detection limit of0.0386-0.343ng/mL, the method has been successfully applied todeterminate of trace phenolic compounds in the Yangtze River water (Huanggang distrct).(3)Synthesis of amino-modified the magnetic silicon sphere NH2-Fe3O4/SiO2, andcharacterized with FT-IR, SEM, VSM, particle analysis, using NH2-Fe3O4/SiO2asextractants to establish a method of MSPE-FAAS to detect copper ions in Yangtze River.Various parameters affecting MSPE were optimized systematically, under optimalconditions, the enrichment factor is14.5, with detection limit of0.50ng/mL, the methodhas been successfully applied to the determination of trace copper ions in the YangtzeRiver water (Huanggang distrct).
