Aluminum and its alloys is used to make porous materials to further reduce it’s quality,because of their small specific gravity and controlled viscosity, It can be made of the porousmaterials of special properties. On the one hand there are many of the research for aluminumanodizing process of wrought aluminum alloy. On the other hand, the aluminum anodic oxidefilm have a wear resistance and corrosion resistance and having a porous material properties.The anode oxidation process of sintered aluminum and wrought aluminum was researched.The writer made a series of comparison to make it clear that the sintered aluminum anodicoxide law, in order to provide for the subsequent sintering of aluminum anodic oxidereference.In this paper, effects of current density and the time of oxidation on oxide film thickness,hardness and microstructure were studied. Comparing with deforming aluminum,theinfluence of porosity in the film-forming process. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) andcomputer image analyzer microscope (XJP-6A) were used to analyze the microstructure ofoxide film; Digital cladding thickness gauge (TT230) and computer display type manualturret micro-hardness (MVC-1000JMT1) were applied to measure film thickness andhardness. MM-200friction test machine was used to test friction factor.Compare to wrought aluminum anodic oxide film, the results of performance tests forsintered aluminum anodic oxide film was obtained. We can deduce a conclusion from theresults: On the one hand, the formed of sintered aluminum anodic oxide film is the same aswrought aluminum,it was affected by the process parameters such as current density andoxidation time, but the current density has a great influence to the sintered aluminumanodizing. If the current density is very small, the anodic oxide film can’t grow. Contrary thecurrent density is large the sintered aluminum would be burned. The other hand, the porosityis the main cause of poor quality of sintered aluminum anodic oxide film. Many of the holelead to a rough surface and resistance larger. Anodic oxidation reaction is fast. The anodicoxide film is bad. But the affect of anodic oxidation is relatively small for porosity of thesintered aluminum.In general, the sintered aluminum anodic oxide film property is worse than theperformance of the deformation of the aluminum anodic oxide film. However sinteredaluminum anodic oxide film is porous material, Therefore the sintered aluminum anodicoxide film can be used for parts that require wear resistance and porosity.
