Debao copper mine is the largest copper ore manufacturing base in Guangxi, and has made enormous contribution to Guangxi’s social and economic development for more than forty years. The complex geological conditions in Debao copper mine, some orebodies are seriously cut by faulted structures. For many years the mine mainly adopts Short-hole shrinkage stoping, breast stoping and shrinkage-breast stoping to adapt to the change of orebodies occurrence conditions, and has obtained better result. But these mining methods are heavy labor intensity, poor safety, low production efficiency, and the economic benefit is difficult to greatly improve. With the company development and the deep resources exploitation, Short-hole blasting stoping method can not adapt to the mining conditions of complex and medium thick ore body. design a new mining method which is safe, efficient, economical and suitable for complex and medium thick orebody in order to raise the mining technology, expand the production scale, enhance the production efficiency, promote the sustainable development, and improve the technique level and economic benefits. This article summarizes mining technology and ultimate principles of underground metal mines, researches new technology, new methods and new ideas of underground mining which are presented at home and abroad in recent years. On the foundation of plenitude understanding about the mining engineering factors, suggest sublevel chamber stoping, sublevel drilling-block stoping and sublevel drilling-combine stage ore removal-sublevel chamber stoping. Through analyzes the process characteristics of these three schemes, and use the relational matrix analysis to comprehensive analysis evaluate and optimization, finalize sublevel drilling-combine stage ore removal-sublevel chamber stoping for optimum solution method. Based on3D environment for mining method study and design, improve the mining design quality and efficiency, combines3D visualization technique to establish orebodies model and stope model, etc. Use3DMine to design medium-deep hole blasting, and conduct a dtudy of mining animation.Debao copper mine safety and efficiency mining technology research have larger practical significance for the mine technology progress and improve the economic benefit.
