Fine ecological environment is the foundation of human survival and economic development. Under the background of quickening urbanization process, different degrees of vulnerability increasingly showed ecological environment has become a major problem which restrict economic and social sustainable development. The rapid change of global environment caused by human activities has hit the earth’s biophysical and social system hard in recent years, these changes are not only found in the change of the whole of earth, extreme weather events more often is a serious threat in local pose. How to use the limited natural resources by a economic and reasonable way and protect human homeland, to realize human economic regeneration and social redevelopment, the interconnection of population, resources, environment and economic development becomes the study focus of experts and scholars.YanChi county,TongXin county and HongSibu region of the central arid zone in Ningxia are located in the transition zone of the loess plateau and drought, Natural ecological system has obvious fragility. On a larger scale, it lied in the area between the loess plateau and Tengger Desert, Ulan Buh Desert and Mu Us Sandy Land. the weather there is dry and windy, sparse, wind erosion activities there are active, environmental bearing capacity is low and the self-healing ability and natural purification function is weak, all of these-make the ecological environment in this area obvious fragile. Once the ecological-environment was destroyed, it is difficult to restore.In this paper,in according to the principle of availability and practicability of the data and map, reflect differences and strive for comprehensiveness, using scientific research methods such as combining theory with practice, integrating qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, we start our research in two aspects of natural factors and human factors, we choosed landscape pattern indices and ecosystem sensitivity index for natural factors, via the GIS technology platform, get the ecological fragile degree classification of Space in study area. And20indexes of ecological sensitivity, ecological pressure and ecological resilience are selected for human factors, and the villages and towns are choosed as the study units, quantitative analysis method are used to get the ecological fragile degree classification of Space in study area. In the last, we use ecological environment vulnerability assessment matrix to get the results of comprehensive evaluation on the basis of evaluation results of above two aspects,the ecological environment fragility can be divided into four levels:highly fragile, moderate fragile, mild fragile and not fragile.By discussing the cause and development measures in ecological environment area of different fragile level,we strive to build the ecological environment space classification on the the ecological environment fragility, our achievement is aimed at providing a reference to the practice of ecological migration in the central arid zone of Ningxia, and showing example for ecological construction in Ningxia.
