Chemical reactor, as the reaction equipment of certain chemical products, is the key point of chemical industry, the design of chemical reactor plays an important role in chemical process. The control of main reaction and vice reaction, controlling condition, reaction temperature, the composition of raw material, pressure, speed, the percent of conversion, option and yield are all must be considered as the principles of design.This contribution designed a new reactor named Vapor heating Reactor. Vapor heat-ing Reactor takes advantage of the heat of condensation of water instantly to offer suffi-cient energy to the reaction of diazonium hydrolysis, thus vice reaction induced by heat-ing slowly is controlled. Meanwhile different reactors as Tank reactor, Tubular reactor, Vapor heating reactor are compared.Reactant such as p-aminophenol, p-anisidine, o-anisidine are researched in this con-tribution to get the products as hydroquinone,4-methoxyphenol, guaiacol respectively through diazonium hydrolysis.p-aminophenol diazonium is synthesized under-8℃, which is hydrolyzed through Tank reactor, Tubular reactor, Vapor heating reactor respectively to get hydroquinone. The yield got from Vapor heating reactor is10%higher than Tank reactor, the amount of sulfuric acid is50%lower than Tank reactor; the yield got from Vapor heating reactor is5.7%higher than Tubular reactor, the amount of sulfuric acid is20%lower than Tubular reactor. The yield of hydroquinone is90.2%,0.3mol p-aminophenol requires sulfuric ac-id43g.p-anisidine diazonium is synthesized under-3℃, which is hydrolyzed through Tank reactor, Tubular reactor, Vapor heating reactor respectively to get4-methoxyphenol. The yield got from Vapor heating reactor is20%higher than Tank reactor, the amount of sul-furic acid is50%lower than Tank reactor, the amount of copper sulfate is37%lower than Tank reactor; the yield got from Vapor heating reactor is4.9%higher than Tubular reactor, the amount of sulfuric acid is20%lower than Tubular reactor, the amount of copper sulfate is37%lower than Tubular reactor. The yield of4-methoxyphenol is89.6%,0.3mol p-anisidine requires sulfuric acid16.5g, copper sulfate38.4g. o-anisidine diazonium is synthesized under-3℃, which is hydrolyzed through Tank reactor, Vapor heating reactor respectively to get guaiacol The yield got from Vapor heating reactor is7.9%higher than Tank reactor, the amount of sulfuric acid is50%low-er than Tank reactor, the amount of copper sulfate is37%lower than Tank reactor. The yield of guaiacol is92.4%,0.3mol o-anisidine requires sulfuric acid16.5g, copper sulfate38.4g.Most importantly, the necessity of certain reactors and reacting conditions is ana-lyzed on the theoretic basis. Compared with Tank reactor, Tubular reactor, Vapor heating reactor is more effective and easily applied into industrial aspects.
