Application of pneumatic conveying technology on cigarette factories is multi-respects, the pneumatic conveying of cut tobacco (pneumatic cut tobacco feeding) is the major way of cut tobacco conveying in cigarette factory. The air velocity is unsteady in the operating of pneumatic cut tobacco feeding system. In view of pneumatic feeding system of cut tobacco characterized by two different kinds of "fishbone-shaped" and "cluster" pipe network structures in modern cigarette factory, the paper adopts the pipeline fluid network analysis method, then analyzes and compares the stability of two pipe network systems.The state and process of pneumatic feeding system are simulated respectively by shutting one or some branch pipes and changing the impedance of branch pipes based on processing properties of pneumatic cut tobacco feeding system. And network characteristic equations are established by using the basic circuit of fluid network method, the Kirchhoff s law and the Bernoulli equation. The flow of other branch pipes in all operating conditions are computed with MATLAB network calculating equipment based on the Cross iteration algorithm.The flow variation is served as the measurement standard of the pipe network stability. The calculating results are dealt with the "flow deviation coefficient" and the system flow fluctuation curve is got. Comparing with the pipe network stability of two types, under the same design flow, the pipe network stability of the cluster pipe network is superior to the fishbone-typed pipe network. Through changing the impedance of branch pipes and main pipe and changing the number of parallel branch pipes, the influence on the pipe network stability of the cluster pipe network is researched.And the experimental apparatus are built based on simulating model, the same conclusion is reached by experiment measurement and analysis of experimental data. The results show that the paper’s research conclusion has certain reference value for engineering application, and suggests that the research has great significance in theory and application.
