Coking wastewater after biological treatment, wastewater su-spended solids, organic pollutants, chroma were higher, in orde-r to achieve wastewater treatment and reuse, must be effective pretreatment process to reduce residual contaminants. On the b asis of comprehensive analysis of the various methods of treat ment of coking wastewater using semi-coke activated, biochemic al wastewater pretreatment, in order to obtain a simple process, and economically viable coking wastewater treatment and reuse by the depth of pretreatment technology.This paper aims to activation modification of low-cost semi-coke, making it the excellent performance of the adsorbent, so as to achieve the application processing Coking Wastewater effluent. Different method to activate the semi-coke adsorption properties and select nitrate-high temperature nitrogen associated with activation of the semi-coke as adsorbent through the the static orthogonal adsorption experiments examine the various factors on the activation of semi-coke adsorption treatment of coking wastewater color removal, turbidity and COD.The after several activation technology modified semi-coke adsorption properties have improved to varying degrees, and after nitric acid activated semi-coke adsorption performance dramatically increased, especially associated with activation of the nitric acid-high temperature nitrogen is the most significant, enables the surface area of the semi-coke ratio increased about7times. Raw semi-coke in coking wastewater COD removal rate effect on coking wastewater COD removal rate was38.72%, nitric acid activated semi-coke coking wastewater COD removal rate can reach54.36%, and after nitric acid and high temperature nitrogen associated with the activation of change sexual semi-coke of COD removal rate the format reached76.26%, twice the raw semi-coke. Raw semi-coke in the coking wastewater color removal effect on coking wastewater color removal rate of34.69%,47.36%after nitric acid activated semi-coke of its color removal, high-temperature nitrogen activated semi-coke color removal rate of51.29%, while the semi-coke after both activation technology associated with the activation of the color removal rate can reach63.85%, reached a significant bleaching effect.
