The aim of this paper is to gain the main factors that influence the properties of the multi-hole water jet through researching on the multi-hole nozzle. So that the results can make a basis for the future researching. In this paper, an apparatus that was used in the occurring the multi-hole jet was designed. The critical point of this apparatus is the designing of the stable-flow orifice. because of this device, the water jet could be observed more easilyAt first the comparing experiment of single and multi-hole nozzle in discharge aspect was did. The results showed that the multi-hole nozzle that had the same opening ratio with the multi-hole nozzle had the lower drag coefficient value. because of the existence of the entrainment among the jets, more energy could be consumed at the high pressure. Then the diplopore nozzle was researched. The aim was to decide an optimum distance between the two holes. through the discharge experiment, the highest value was gained when the distance was ten millimeters. Based on these things, the results were simulated with the fluent software. After analyzing the simulation results, two factors that influenced the entrainment were gained. One is the distance between the two holes; the other is the jet speed.According to the researching results at the first stage, nine multi-hole plates which contained different structure parameters were designed. The there kinds of arrangements were triangle arrangement, circle arrangement, rectangular arrangement; the aspect ratio were2.5,3.3,4.2. There kinds of experiments that were discharge experiment, impinging force experiment, and cleaning effect experiment were selected to evaluate the jets’ properties. The results showed that the thick orifice nozzle can get the highest discharge and impinging force value because they can sustain the continuous of the jet. At the different stage and location of the jet, the principles of the cleaning were not the same, so the discharge and impinging force can not decide the cleaning effect. In this paper, the plate with rectangular arrangement and aspect ratio4.2got the highest discharge value; the plate with circle arrangement and aspect ratio4.2got the highest impinging force value; the plate with triangle arrangement and aspect ratio4.2displayed the best cleaning effect. So in the process of the designing and researching, these factors should be integrated in a very reasonable way to satisfy our requirments.
