Inorganic-organic hybrid compounds have been paid more and more attention in the solid-state materials chemistry due to their significant applications in catalysis, gas adsorption, photochemistry, magnetism, and many other various aspects. In this field, Keggin-type POMs have been widely regarded as important building blocks due to their structure stability, suitable size and efficient catalytic property, and have been thoroughly studied.In this paper, the structure types of inorganic-organic hybrid compounds based on Keggin-type polyoxometalates have been studied firstly. And we have successfully synthesized five new compounds based on a-Keggin phosphomolybdate clusters under hydrothermal condition and characterized the structures. Photocatalytic activities of1-4have also been investigated in this paper.1. Two new inorganic-organic hybrid compounds based on a-Keggin phosphomolybdate clusters have been synthesized. They are modified by Cu-bim/mim complexs.[CuI(bim)2]2{[CuII(bim)2]2[PMoVI9Mov3040]}(1)[CuI(mim)2]4[PMoVI]]Mov040]·H20(2)1is a novel bicapped Keggin compound with two Cu atoms as caps.2is a tetrasupporting Keggin compound which is modified by four [CuI(mim)2]+fragments. Left-and right-handed helical chains formed by modified POM clusters and hydrogen bonding interactions can be observed in the supramolecular structures of both the compounds.2. We chose bim and mim as organic ligands and have successfully synthesized three new compounds based on a-Keggin phosphomolybdate clusters.(Hbim)3(bim)2[PMo12040]·3H20(3)(Hmim)3(mim)2[PMo12040]·3H20(4)(Hmim)3[PMo12040](5)Three are a number of hydrogen bonds in the structures of the three compounds.[PMo12040]3-polyoxoanions are connected with organic components by hydrogen bond interactions and finally linked into3D supramolecular networks.Compounds1-5were all got by hydrothermal synthesis. The compounds except 2were synthesized with a-PM12Na as raw materials.2was prepared with Na2MoO4·2H2O and H3PO4in a molar ratio of1:12instead of a-PMo12Na.
