ABSTRACT: Ammonia pollution control projects are involved inpromoting projects of the National12th Five-Year Plan. with the of the coal chemical,petrochemical and other industries, the wastewater with high concentration ofnitrogen discharged from the coal chemical, petrochemical and other industries hasrestrained the development of the industry after several years of rapid development.Blooms, red tides and pollution incidents occur frequently due to the high nitrogenwastewater discharge without compliance. While the disadvantage of the traditionalnitrification denitrification biological nitrogen removal process is that the big energyconsumption, a large number of external carbon source and etc. Therefore, it has animportant significance to study the high concentration nitrogen wastewaterenergy-saving nitrogen processing research. Energy-efficient denitrification treatmentresearch for high concentration of nitrogen wastewater has a very importantsignificance.In the Anaerobic Ammonium Oxidation process the ammonia oxidationbacteria oxidate ammonium and nitrite to nitrogen under anaerobic conditions. Nitriteserves as electron acceptor and ammonia serves as electron donor. The biochemicalreaction above solves the traditional nitrification-denitrification process drawbacks. Inthis study, through a combination of field and laboratory studies, the anaerobicammonia oxidation process (Anaeroboic ammonium oxidation) was used to deal withcoking wastewater with high nitrogen content. The cultivation and domestication ofanaerobic ammonia oxidation sludge was studied. The factors may restrict theanammox bacteria growth were investigated. Biofacies water indicators of inlet andoutlet were observed. Thus the control technology of cultivation and domestication ofanaerobic ammonia oxidation sludge were obtained.Research results show the anaerobic ammonia oxidation sludge growth: optimalparameters in hypoxia and light conditions, control of hydraulic retention time was30h, temperature38oC, pH value is around7, the maximum influent ammonianitrogen concentration is215mg/l, and the removal rate was86.6%, the highest waternitrite nitrogen concentration is225mg/l, and the removal rate was91.1%. Theanaerobic ammonia oxidation sludge can work normal with the optimum parameter.
