Cold rolling silicon steel is an important soft magnetic material in the electronic andelectrical industries, and commonly used in electric motor and transformer. As softmagnetic material, magnetic property is one of the most important parameter, themagnetic domain have a direct influence on magnetic property of silicon steel, so thestudy on magnetic domain of silicon steel is significant in theory and practice.Traditional studies on silicon steel were focused on some basic elements such asproduction process, chemical composition and grain size, the study on magnetic is littleand the study on magnetization magnetic domain by external field is less. Thenanometer magnetic fluid, scanning electron microscope and constant external fieldprovided by permanent magnet were used in this paper and the magnetic fluid patternmethod was used for quantitative investigation on magnetic domain of silicon steel. Themain contents are given as follows:(1) the50w470non-oriented silicon steel is cut by different shear methods, and thenthe effect of different shear methods on the edge is analyzed.(2) annealing the50W470H non-oriented silicon steel with same time but thetemperature is different, after that the magnetic domain structure with differentannealing temperature is analyzed, the purpose is to confirm the effect of differentannealing temperature on magnetic domain structure.(3) treating the50W470H non-oriented silicon steel by aging treatment, then the ironloss, magnetic flux, precipitates and the magnetic domain of the50W470H and thetreated50W470H is detected. According to results the aging treatment influence on the50W470H is confirmed.(4) along the transverse and rolling direction to magnetize the30Q120orientedsilicon steel by NdFeB magnet to confirm the effect of different magnetization directionand magnetic field intensity on the oriented silicon steel.Through the above experiments, the results will provide theoretical foundations andtechnological basis for production field, post processing and practical application ofcold rolling silicon steel.
