Research On Mining Technique With Light Caving Supports In Island Pillar Seam Of Cilinshan Coal Mine

Many of the mines which produeted in early stage in the Luan Shanxi province wentintomining the corner coal pillar of residual mining stage. The island pillar face a series ofsaftey problems because of the violent and dangerous stress condition and stratum behaviours,such as impulsion pressure, larger deformation, difficult support and so on. So the miningtechnique with light caving supports in island pillar seam is important to recover the limitedcoal resources and lengthen the length of service of mine.Aim to safety production of island pillar face in Cilinshan coal mine, the miningtechnique with light caving supports and strata-pressure behavior law are studied based ontheoretical analysis and observation methods. The hydraulic support stress and deformationsof roadway and the law of motion of top coal are observed, and the series of supporttechniques of light caving are grasped. The better econnomic and social benefits are obtainedin the light caving supports face, and provide a scientific basis for the succesful mining offault island pillar.
